- 1 1/4 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 package dry onion soup mix
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tablespoons ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Topping:
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
Directions:
- In a large bowl, combine the oats and milk. Allow them to sit for approximately 15 minutes, allowing the oats to absorb the milk.
- Add the ground beef, beaten eggs, dry onion soup mix, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and pepper to the oat mixture. Using your hands, thoroughly mix all the ingredients together, ensuring the oats are evenly distributed throughout the meat.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Transfer the meat mixture to a 9×9 baking pan and shape it into a loaf approximately 1 & 3/4 inches thick.
